Walking Dead Spin-Off at Early Stages
I have just been reading over at TVLine that AMC Developing Walking Dead Spin-Off That Will Explore ‘New Corner’ of Zombie Apocalypse.
With the success of the main show throughout its first three seasons AMC is keen to cash in and is looking to expand the franchise.
“Allegedly” Series creator Robert Kirkman will serve as an exec producer on the offshoot, alongside fellow EPs Gale Anne Hurd and David Alpert.
The new show which is a companion series, looking at stories away from the main group in the show is set for launch date hopefully in 2015.
You can read more about it over on TVLINE.
The main Walking Dead show is set for a Season 4 premieres on Oct 13 and I can’t wait for it but as for the companion show I just don’t know, I think you can have too much of a good thing and I would hate to see what is both a quality show and comic be affected somehow in quality or even just for me to get fed up with too much Walking Dead zombies.
I loved the web series which is why my initial reaction was one of joy as finding out the back stories to some of the zombies and such was great so this could go either way for me.
Anyways, first post back after nearly six months so will post again today hopefully with what geekness I’ve been up to.
