New Wolverine Movie Set Pictures
Somehow amongst all the other stuff that has been going on, I missed these new Wolverine set photos that came out of Digital Spy. I have reprimanded myself and given myself the punishment of throwing myself upon my rubber replica Wolverine claws until I draw blood…this may take some time. Whilst I’m doing that why not take a look at the full range of images from day one of shooting new Wolverine movie; The Wolverine, starring Hugh Jackman (Like…all the X-Men films and anything with singing and dancing in it) and directed by James Mangold (Cop Land, 3:10 To Yuma, Walk the Line). With this being the sixth movie playing the character of Wolverine, I’m counting the X-Men: First Class cameo, Hugh Jackman must feel like he has a pretty good handle of the character by now, so this being his fourth director you have to wonder who will be giving whom direction on this one?
Also in one of these images is Svetlana Khodchenkova who took the role of Viper after Jessica Biel turned it down, for my money Biel was a much better fit for the character that we know from the books but I can’t blame her for turning it down, she does seem to be stuck in that woman of action role right now and this wouldn’t have helped her cause in any way. Russian Khodchenkova is fairly unknown to me but I hear she did a great job in Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy so I’m willing to give her a go, even if she looks absolutely nothing like Viper.
The Wolverine is set to be released 26 July 2013.

Not sure how excited I am by this yet. Origins was underwhelming and these pics look average. Hugh looks like Pierce Brosnan from Die Another Day in the last one. Perhaps when they get a trailer out I’ll get excited.
Yeah, I’m still luke warm on this one too but any excuse to get Jackman back in Snikt-mode is okay by me…as long as it’s considerably better than Origins!
