G.I. Joe: Retaliation put back until 2013

That’s right folks I have just read over at ‘Deadline’ that Paramount Pictures have decided to make the movie 3D and as such needs another NINE MONTHS to add in all the effects.

The sequel to the surprise hit G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra now won’t be out until next year on March 29th 2013.

“We’re going to do a conscientious 3D job because we’ve seen how it can better box office internationally,” said one of the studio executives “Jim Cameron did all of Titanic‘s 3D in post — and look how well that movie turned out.”.

The thing that makes this a bit mad is the amount of cash Paramount spent on a Super Bowl commercial and thy already have TV and outdoor ads playing for GI Joe 2.

I am gutted as I loved the first film as does both my misses and daughter too.

Read the full piece at Deadline HERE.
