Introducing Floyd and Norm
Chances are, if you’re reading this, you’re a fan of comics, old-school science fiction TV shows, and fun things. If you do fit this description, then there’s a new webcomic out there for you!
Written and drawn by Los Angeles based cartoonist, Nye Warburton (who has also worked on the special effects for such films as Monster House, Thor and Avengers, among others, which means Nye has been in the same room as Joss Whedon and is automatically deserving of your respect), The Interdimensional Adventures of Floyd and Norm introduces to Floyd Patterson (a conceited asshole) and Lloyd Bernstein (forgot to take his anxiety medication), two office workers who are sucked through time and space by a fax machine.
Influenced by such classic shows as Doctor Who, Buck Rogers and Space 1999, Floyd and Norm promises to be a treasure trove for those of us who watched these shows in our youth (and may well have the DVD boxsets lining our shelves today), as well as plenty of laughs. The preface to the story is up now at www.floydandnorm.com, as well as the first comic from chapter 1, so now’s the perfect place to get in on the ground floor and enjoy a brand new webcomic which was pretty much specifically designed for us geeks.
You can also check out Nye’s other webcomic, an autobiographical comic featuring the Recession Bear, here. Nye himself can be followed on Twitter here. Stop by and say hi. Tell him I sent you.
Floyd and Norm updates every Tuesday and Thursday.
